Barrie (revisited)

Revisited because we played the Local and Loud contest over the last few months in Barrie, so we've been doing alot of Hwy 400 driving northbound.

From my perspective this weekend was a great success. Mainly, we performed really well. Each member of the Jim Smith Band was on his or her game both evenings and the songs sounded the way I hear them sounding when they play in my head. Yes that sounded a bit schizo, but maybe I am hehehehe.

The festival was pretty fun - unfortunately we were way at the end of the street, so our crowd was more sporatic than it would have been if we had been at the core. However, we were playing in front of two bars which were full all night so we had that audience, plus there were always at least a handful of people watching.

Boy I'm loving our fans lately - thanks to everyone who pumped their cars full of gas and booted it out to Barrie. It's a great feeling.
