Next Sunday!

So it turns out that we ARE playing the Local and Loud competition next Sunday (Feb. 27th). We were trying to get the organiser to accomidate us by letting us go on another date, but in the end he couldn't. So we're playing next sunday.

Unfortunately, due to her covert operation in Florida, Nai won't be playing that set with us, BUT we will try to shock and awe without her. Analogy: With La-Nai we are a gun loaded with live ammunition, with out her we're loaded with blanks. That was the most American analogy I could have applied to this situation. Ha!

So its up in Barrie, so we can only pray that the weather is reasonable. Also, we can only hope that we get a panel of judges who digs us.

Tonight, our buddies in Tranquil (http://www.tranquilmusic.net/) passed their qualifying round in the same contest, so we can only hope that we can do the same and get to share the stage with them in the finals.

Peace

hey! Rather than leave a personal email for you all, i will post HERE!

I was at crew tonight, and my friend Anne asked me if the JSB were playing at the Ab - a York U pub - tonight. I said no, and asked her why she thought so, and her reply was this:
Apparently tonight was accoustic night, and the owner of The Ab made a mention of getting an AWESOME demo cd from the JSB!!! I dunno if this means anything, but it definately IS good to hear the words Jim Smith Band come out of a mouth beside mine or Jim's. In conclusion, I think it's high time you folks played at The Ab

That's good news!

I know Jim is talking to the guy about lining up a date for us to play there so it's definately in the works :)

That IS really cool! That's why I come up here. Nature.

A friend of mine told me that they were in the Roots store in Scarborough Town Centre about a week ago, and could swear they heard JSB playing in the store (this person's not a big, cd-owning fan so they couldn't say for certain, but they're fairly sure). I have my doubts but I'm also very curious...

P.S. you guys don't have to sign as anonymous you know; you can select 'other' and put in your name, even without having a blogspot account.
